With so many adults buying and using mobile phones these days, it's no wonder that mobile companies are looking to expand even further. Yes, you guessed it, its time for children and seniors to get mobile phones especially designed for them.

Instead of a regular key pad, the Firefly phone has just five keys and enables parents to program up to 22 outgoing numbers into the phone, including speed-dial keys for Mom and Dad. There is also a 911 emergency button with accidental call protection connects the phone directly with emergency assistance. The device will be sold through Target stores nationwide for about $100 with different coverage plans available.

What seems clear is that we are only just beginning to witness the vast array of differing types of mobile phones that may spring into existence.

Analysts and a range of startup companies believe that different parts of the world's population will soon ask for much more diversified mobile phones and special features than today.
