Mozilla Foundation have decided that the Mozilla browser will end at version 1.7.x, at least in terms of backing. The browser can, of course, continue in a community-supported fashion for anyone who wants to keep it going, but it looks like the future is all Firefox browser and Thunderbird e-mail client as far as the Foundation are concerned. Now, isn't that a surprise, given the success of both, particularly (as in the case of Firefox) in starting a modest trend of usage away from Internet Explorer.
