Acer set to do well in US for notebook sales

Acer, who is now ranked the largest notebook vendor in Europe, is set to do very well in the US as far as notebook sales go, with about 130,000-150,000 units expected in the first quarter of this year.

Efforts by the two US leading distributors – Ingram Micro and Tech Data – to promote Acer’s notebooks contributed to Acer’s estimated shipment growth. Overall, global shipments of Acer notebooks are expected to expand 60% on-year, to 1.3 million units in the first quarter of this year.
