New Iogear switch

Iogear has released a device that allows consumer PCs to share USB peripherals such as printers a portable harddrives and access multiple monitors from one keyboard. This new switching device, dubbed the "Dual View KVMP GCS1744", is based on dual head video functionality and can support up to four graphics systems.

"[The system] puts the user in charge of a maximum of four dual-display systems or eight monitors. Resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels are supported. The GCS1744 is also sound enabled. A microphone can provide can provide audio input to each of the connected computers. Audio output is sent to each computer on a single set of speakers. Pricing for the switch starts at $250 for a 2-port model. The 4-port version lists for $350."
