The Toshiba Libretto is set to make a comeback! The Libretto-brand compact laptop computer will make a welcome return after three years of absence, and will be (like other machines in the Libretto range) smaller and lighter than other Toshiba laptops. The new model, the Libretto U100, measures 8.3 inches by 6.5 inches by about 1.2 inches and weighs 2.2 pounds with the standard battery. However, all of this is not without a price, with the keypitch (a measurement of the distance from the centre of one key to the centre of its neighbour) being rather cramped.

[The keypitch] is a cramped .5 inches that could make touch-typing difficult and there's also no built-in optical drive. But this could be of little concern to prospective Libretto buyers, who have in the past been willing to put up with such issues in return for the machine's small size.
