ATI has announced the launch of its Radeon® Xpress® 200M chipset, destined for a new range of notebook products. For use in AMD platforms, the new chipset will be integrated initially into two new lines of notebooks from HP, the Pavilion zv6000 series and the Compaq Presario R4000 series. The new chipset incorporates new HyperMemory technology for increased performance.

"Consumers are demanding higher levels of performance, power management and overall flexibility from their notebook PCs as the mainstream notebook market continues to rapidly expand. Our partnership with an industry leader such as HP enables us to extend our reach in the marketplace to deliver the only DX 9 Chipset for AMD platforms." - Reuven Soraya, Director of Marketing, Chipset Business Unit, ATI.
