Quake on your mobile!

By Derek Sooman

On June 27, 2005, 4:01 PM

One of my favourite games of all time is making its way to a mobile phone near you! Quake, the famous 3D Shooter from id Software that was responsible for some of the truly bad marks I got in forth year of University, will be released for 3D-enabled mobile phones next month. Developed by a company called Bare Naked Productions, Quake Mobile has been tailored specifically for mobile phones handsets that feature dedicated 3D graphics hardware.

The 3D-enabled mobile phones will be coming out of Korea next month, no particulars were revealed in the announcement, just a teaser for us Quake fans. But I’m sure the hardware will be much better in mobiles phones than what we were using on our desktops. So everyone put your armour vests on and load up your rocket launchers, Quake Mobile is coming.

  1. I wonder how many levels it'll have
  2. Haha. That is awesome!
  3. Yeah, isn't it. I can't see myself rushing out to get it, or anything, but the idea of being able to play Quake on the train is pretty cool.
  4. quake1 is still the best game EVER! I only wish more people would still play it (even on valve's DMC).
