Firefox Google Toolbar finally coming?

By Derek Sooman on
Are we finally going to get a Google toolbar for Firefox? Well, it looks like it, with Google seemingly about to release a version of the software especially for the browser. If these reports are true, it will mean the first Google Toolbar for any browser other than Internet Explorer. In the past, users who wanted Google Toolbar functionality within Firefox have had to use an open source offering or something similar. Now, we are assured of an official toolbar for the browser. The toolbar is apparently due for release on 7th of July.

"I thought I'd drop you a note to give a heads up on something Google will be releasing next week: a version of our Internet Explorer toolbar for Firefox," said Google engineer Fritz Schneider in an email to the Mozilla Developers site.
