Skype goes mobile

Software maker, Vendex International, announced today a new free utility called EpyxMobile, which will let you use your cell phone to talk to users in the Skype network. On paper this sounds like a very interesting alternative, especially considering the popularity of Skype and its SkypeOut service (also compatible), opening the door for low-cost calls around the world.

Using a standard Bluetooth connection, the software, which takes minutes to download and install, bridges the gap between free VoIP and standard GSM mobile networks, taking mobile communications into new and uncharted territory.
