Sony is preparing software that will allow the PlayStation Portable video game system to surf the Net. Available next week in Japan, the software update will make use of the PSP's built-in antenna for wireless Internet access. The company also announced that it will launch a white version of the PSP, which is otherwise black. However, this will be available in Japan only.

  1. "However, this will be available in Japan only."This is why I stopped buying Sony gaming products.
  2. I think that comment referred to the white version of the console only. The new firmware and browser program for the PSP should be making it in all versions, including the US.
  3. Julio is correct. Sorry if the wording makes this unclear.
