TechSpot Deals section and more!

A number of changes and additions happening during the past few days on the site. You may have noticed we have updated our main menu. Our sections are now being listed in an order that makes much more sense to the user. We have also updated the drop down menu code to a more robust solution that combines DHTML with Java; it's still not perfect, but should work better than the previous one in most platforms.

You will have noticed then, we have made room for new sections that we are working on currently. One of them is now ready and running already, the TechSpot Deals section. We have partnered with our friends at GotApex to deliver tech deals and coupon information in a daily updated section accesible from our main menu. Watch out for those Dell deals, there's some really hot stuff, see for example:

Ultralight Inspiron 700m with 1.6Ghz Pentium M 725, 12.1" WXGA TFT, 512MB DDR, 40GB HD, 8x DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner, and 802.11b/g for $749 after Rebate!
This deal expires tonight, and the final cost is the result of a $424 instant discount and a $150 mail in rebate, not bad at all.

Finally, I also wanted to mention we have implemented an useful feature on the site, so with little to no effort you can suggest your friends to visit a given news story, article or download available on TechSpot. With your collaboration the site could further expand using word of mouth, you can identify this feature across the site using this icon:
