The Google News article search service will be augmented with the addition of content syndication. Users will be able to have targeted news content delivered directly to them. This will allow Google News users to set up RSS (Really Simple Syndication) or Atom content syndication feeds for specific Google News sections, such as entertainment, business, or world news. Users will also be able to set up RSS or Atom feeds for customized sections that they create themselves.

"We've launched this service because we've had a lot of requests from Google users to support RSS and Atom," explained a Google UK spokeswoman.
