Thanks to IBM, you may soon be able to fit an entire PC, at least virtually, on your keyring. Virtual computing is a pretty big part of the industry, both in hardware and software. Systems for years beyond are being designed to have hardware support for running multiple operating systems at once, and software suites like VMWARE and QEMU allow you to have a "computer" running underneath an existing operating system. The idea behind the new device by IBM takes it a step further. The files that compose the virtual computer would be stored on a small device you can carry around, and plug in to any compatible PC. Think knoppix, only it is an entire system including configuration that can roam with you.
