According to the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) in Japan, Microsoft's Xbox is the most costly platform for game development, in front of the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo GameCube. Games for the Xbox cost so much to develop because of the high-end hardware that is used, according to the CESA. Something that is rather shocking is that the CESA claims that games for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) cost just as much as the Nintendo GameCube.
