AMD announced today that they will be releasing a revision for the very popular Mobile Athlon 64, the Athlon 64 M 4000+. Operating at 2.60Ghz with 1Mb of L2 cache and a TDP of 62W, it isn't exactly geared towards long battery life, but more of a performance laptop or a desktop replacement. In comparison, their Turion 64s range from a TDP of 25W to 35W.

AMD also stated that their "high-end" desktop chips, which we can assume means the Athlon 64 FX, are gaining popularity in performance-oriented notebooks.
