These days it is becoming more and more common for a laptop to replace a desktop. Performance is becoming comparable, the prices are in range and the savings in heat, power and space are very attractive to some. Samsung's encouraging more of that with a beastly
19 inch detachable LCD screen for laptops with an incredible refresh time of 10ms. That is on par with midrange desktop LCD screens. Aside from having a nice wide screen, it also has a longer keyboard that includes a keypad. As someone who hates typing on laptop keyboards due to the size this is very attractive. This doesn't seem practical for every day portable use, but seems to be something very close to a “perfect fit” for a compact desktop replacement.
