We know the name GeForce, and the hottest of the hot, the 7800 GT and 7800 GTX, have been out for a little while now, and reviews are available. We have a very thourough review right here at Techspot that covers the GTX specifically, including SLI setup, quite well. Here's the original TechSpot Review, from July. I wanted a direct comparison between the GTX and GT and have found one. The results? The benchmarks speak for themselves, I think. The GTX gives what I'd call a "marginal" improvement in speed. There were very few benchmarks that scored more than a 10 FPS increase, not even in the nVidia-friendly and memory bandwidth-hungry Doom 3. Overall you're looking at a less than 10% increase across the board for the GTX. although it DOES best the GT in every department, as it should. If you don't want to the scan the article, the bottom line is this: For a more than 25% increase in price you're getting less than 10% improvement in performance. These are both stellar cards, but going all out isn't really necessary with these two. The cards respectively cost around $450 and $600 each.
