Yahoo 'helped jail China writer'

In a bit of startling news, Yahoo has been accused of giving the Chinese government information that led to the arrest and jailing of a journalist for "divulging state secrets". He was allegedly found guilty of divulging texts of internal Communist Party messages to foreign-based websites. Mary Osako, a Yahoo spokeswoman claims that Yahoo must abide by the law within the country.

  1. Well, they are probably right - they may well have to abide by the laws of china on such an issue. Regardless of that though, it's not really good timing is it?I think Yahoo really needs to get it's act together.
