Macromedia Studio 8 released

As from yesterday, Macromedia Studio 8 has been released. FreeHand has been dropped, but two other applications have been added which Macromedia believes will give the suite a better mix for its target customer. Studio 8 now includes Dreamweaver 8, Flash Professional 8, Fireworks 8, Contribute 3 and FlashPaper 2. Flash now ships with new Flash 8 Video Encoder. Studio 8 pricing is $999 for a full license and $399 for an upgrade.

Update: Trial versions of new Macromedia applications are now available for download:
Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.0
Macromedia Flash 8
Macromedia Flash Player 8.0.22.0
Macromedia Fireworks 8.0.0.777
