Netgear Rolls Out Home NAS

Like a few others out there that are trying to market NAS to home users, Netgear is now offering Storage Central, a network device to allow many machines to share a central storage location. At a starting price of $149 for 100GB of storage and supporting RAID, it seems to be a perfect fit for small businesses or media storage machines for people with multiple computers.

It technically can support upwards of 1TB of storage, but has a maximum of only two drives, which you must supply, so that would be a bit hard to get. Other features the new device supports are automated backups of data and automated synchronization of files similar to the “Offline Files” function in Windows.
