Game industry to sue California

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently signed a new bill that is expected to come into effect January 1, 2006. The bill would ban the sale or rental of "violent video games" to children. This includes any game that show such things as killing, maiming or sexual assault on any characters that are depicted as human, and are classified to be atrocious, cruel and/or heinous.

Not surprisingly, it looks like the Entertainment Software Association will file suit to stop this law.

I think this giant fight against videogames is going way to far. I think, if your a parent, and you have a child that will go out and do in real life, what is seen on computers, and tv's, then you should not let your child have any video game device in the first place.
