Coming just a short while after Ubuntu won an award for being the best distribution of 2005, the team behind it has released version 5.10. Dubbed “Breezy Badger”, the 5.10 release of Ubuntu comes with many welcome improvements, such as the inclusion of the much more user friendly OpenOffice 2.0 Beta, updated video card drivers, GCC 4 and many user interface enhancements. Ubuntu has striven to be an “Ease of use” distro that focuses on both functionality and ease of maintenance, making it attractive to developers and desktop users. The entire install is on a single CD as well, making it easier to swallow for those downloading it for the first time.
