AMD reducing prices on Turion and X2

By Justin Mann on October 24, 2005, 6:06 AM
Something long-awaited by enthusiasts everywhere and quite expected given Intel's various drops the past few months, AMD is cutting prices for their desktop and mobile lines. Nothing to shrug at, price cuts as high as 26% for the Turion 64, Athlon64 X2 and the rest of the Athlon64/Sempron line are in order. Although the elite Athlon 64 FX is not seeing a price cut, with reductions for mobile and dual-core units, a pickup in sales of workstations and notebooks is probably going to follow. AMD has the full list on their site and the prices are set as of today.
