Mars to swing close to Earth this weekend

By Mikael Hoffman on October 29, 2005, 3:42 PM
Although this isn't necessarily related to computers or technology, it is still worth a mention. On Saturday, Mars' orbit will bring the Red Planet 43.1 million miles away from Earth, with the closest pass scheduled for 11:25 EST. Earth and Mars are separated by around 140 million miles and the two planets will not be this close together until 2018.
