First Super 3G network launched in Europe

A subsidiary of O2 named Manx Telecom has launched the first commercial HSDPA network in Europe. This type of network supports downloads at up to 1.4Mbps, and can seemingly be raised to 10Mbps in some three years time. Based on the Isle of Man, the service is only currently delivered by Sierra Wireless AirCard 850 PC cards. But phones are on their way, as are laptops with integrated support.
