Asus is to sell LCD monitors in the UK via several distributors including MiniLanTech and Aone distribution, using the Asus brand. The company will sell four models, which are all 17 inch.

The top one, the PM17TU, comes with 2.5 W stereo speakers in dark silver and it's available now for £199+VAT, the PM17TE is a 17-inch, 8ms display with same speakers and comes in Dark silver at £182+VAT. It's expected at the end of November.

The MM17T is also a 17-inch, 8ms display with 1.2W stereo speakers and comes in silver, available now for £164+VAT. The last is the MM17D, a 17-inch display with 8ms response time, without speakers, and comes in a silver finish for £153+VAT.

There is a one year ZBD (Zero Bright Dot) policy applied to these monitors, meaning that the company will replace your display if you see just one dead pixel. This is compared to the "few months" ZBD policy offered by rival companies.

Doesn't ZBD (Zero Bright Dot) mean that the monitor will only be replaced if you have a defective pixel that is always ON? You can still have 'dead' pixels that are OFF, which aren't covered by the warranty, but these tend to be less annoying.
