Diamond Multimedia re-enters sound card market with 7.1 Xtreme Sound

Starting with a $29.95 7.1 card and a $39.95 Dolby Digital Live 7.1 card, Diamond Multimedia is coming back to the audio market. It's been a long time since Diamond has produced sound cards, and though I've owned only a few in the past I never had any complaints with them as a low-cost/entry-level soundcard solution. With many motherboards often coming with onboard sound though, some may question Diamond's re-entry, but if the performance is decent, the low price tag might make their new Xtreme Sound lineup worth looking at.
