Apple wants to help you create a website

   I think this is a great idea! Giving people the power to create their own websites is an excellent way of letting people voice their opinions, and for getting their ideas out on the web. Before this program, creating websites was something that was limited strictly towards people who were technically savvy, but now anyone with a mac and this program can have their own site up in less than a few hours! Props to Apple for bringing geek speak to the masses!

You have to have substantial knowledge, or even enroll in a course to this effectively. This could be revolutionary, and could drive internet traffic to an all time high, because with more ppl creating websites so easily, there will be more internet traffic than ever. Because when you produce a website, it will attract an audience, and continue to grow as it becomes evermore popular.

Some of them think that if they move to a big application, such as Dreamweaver, they will have the best website ever. Most likely things will go the other way, and they end up throwing the program out because it was too complicated to use. I think this will really help out those kind of people. It sounds really easy to use, so anyone could do it. I hope this will work with anyone who wants to build a nice looking website with ease.

[/quote]yes, there are a number of programs and online helps to aid you in creating a web site, but to literally be able to simply copy and paste? That would be an imense help to many people. Espcially people who are very knowlegable in certain areas, but just don't know how to create and maintain a website. No html, java script , of xml, that would significantly simply things for a rather large majority of web users. However, would that be easier to exploit?

It's no harder than learning to drive a car or program the VCR... maybe even easier since they sometimes forget to print the manual in English.Personally I'd say its more about not having or wishing to spend the time than not having the ability to learn basic HTML or how to use Dreamweaver etc. Like vigilante said.. this stuff is already available, Mac are just adding to their repertoire of features for their users... it's a good idea but no big breakthrough.Personally I find the comment "But they are way hard for mere mortals to use." rather condescending.

That's how iBook / PowerBook and iMac / PowerMac are targeted.However, there are no Power versions of applications, i there just indicates something made "simple" to use (not necessarily lack of features).
