Gentoo Linux 2006.0 has been released. The first release in the 2006, this new Gentoo includes many new features and software versions, including KDE 3.4.3, GNOME 2.12.2, XFCE 4.2.2, GCC 3.4.4 and a 2.6.15 kernel. The Gentoo Linux Installer also officially debuts on the x86 LiveCD. The LiveCD also features a fully-fledged Gnome environment, with a KDE environment coming as well.

  1. Sad, it's not running KDE 3.5, which was released a bit after Mandriva 2006 IIRC. Maybe updating will change it to 3.5?Also there's KDE 4.0 for this year.
