Expanding on the information from yesterday, more details have emerged about the 500 series of MCPs that we'll be seeing from nVidia shortly. We'll see 4 iterations of the new chip, the 550 for the lower end boards, 570 for performance boards that support only 1 video card, the 570 SLI version, and a 590 SLI that has everything the others do and more. Some of the more attractive features include Quad SLI support, the expanded RAID functionality and the onboard gigE nic. It doesn't mention anything about DDR2-800 or higher support, but likely the chipsets will be able to clock themselves higher than official specs. Now just to see how they handle the real world.
