Microsoft tests Live ads

Microsoft has started testing display ads in Windows Live Mail, Office Live and MSN Spaces. Tests are being conducted under multiple ad formats, under the banner of Microsoft's strategy of offering internet-based services supported by ads and subscriptions. Microsoft plans to continue the testing throughout the year.

Testing of the display ads for MSN Spaces is under way in Australia and Italy. Windows Live Mail display ads are being tested in such markets as Brazil, China, the United Kingdom and the United States. Office Live display ads, meanwhile, are being tested in the U.S. only, and the available beta slots have been filled.

  1. Of all those I'm only trying Live Mail beta which replaces the crappy standard Hotmail. They have been running ads there since I can remember... which still sucks, I only keep it because of Messenger and the people that know the address, otherwise Gmail is a much superior web-based mail service.

Just sign a passport.net account and you can use it.
