Acer's growth in LCD market makes them number one

Acer is being no slouch in the LCD department. After a whopping 129% increase in sales spanned over a year, Acer's numbers put them as the number one in growth for the LCD market. This isn't all about investments, though, and clearly shows the shift towards LCDs is making large advances. Power concerns in almost all countries and environments has been one of the primary driving factors, and most LCD manufacturers are seeing the benefits from this. Acer might use this to come out with some really outstanding stuff in the next year or so. I wouldn't be surprised to see some amazing Acer stuff for the enthusiast market.

  1. this could mean even cheaper and better screen. I've got dual screen, it is lighter, lower power and the image i sharper.
  2. The fact they sell almost the cheapest 17" LCDs out there might explain some things also...
