Some of the pricing information for the first AM2 processors has been made available. Encompassing the FX, X2, A64 and Sempron, AM2 will have all the flavors right off the bat and will have a price range from $67 to $1200+! The cream of the crop is the Athlon FX-62, which weighs in at $1,236. For the most part, prices are in-line with the same offerings on 939. An example is the Athlon64 X2 3800+, which retails for socket 939 at about $300, the same price it will be available for (in quantity) on AM2.
Overall, there aren't any big surprises from AMD here - and since there will be a long transition time, there probably won't be any surprises for a while.
