Darth Vader to get own video game?

Who’s the greatest cinematic baddie of all time? Well, as far as I am concerned, it’s Darth Vader. Vader, who’s on screen presence towers over the likes of Hannibal Lector is soon to be getting his own video game, according to LucasArts, the publishing arm of George Lucas' gaming empire.

According to the newspaper, the "Their [LucasArts president Jim Ward and VP of product development Jim Hirschmann] excitement was palpable on a recent afternoon", the article states, "when Mr. Ward, Mr. Hirschmann, and Haden Blackman, the project leader of a forthcoming Star Wars game, reviewed all of the company's recent projects. Mr. Blackman outlined a new storyline that delved deeper into Darth Vader's history".
It’s fairly likely that the game would involve the part of Vader’s life in between the end of Episode III and the beginning of Episode IV in the six films. Of course, nothing is confirmed yet.

  1. This will be...WICKED!!!
  2. Good! Good! It's VERY good when you get to play as the bad guys.I expect to see a game where you must steal a plane, get some piloting hours and hit the White House with it ) After that, Osama bin Laden will be able to say: "Games made me do it".Now, really, it's a very good idea, as long as the game will have some blood and gore in it, not just the bloodless puppets in the other Star Wars games.
