Yahoo has started to enter the PVR market, along with several other software suites, looking to provide a complete media center suite for your machine. Designed for ease of use, Yahoo's “Go for TV” has one particularly outstanding feature, and that is that it is provided free. Yahoo recently acquired another company, Meedio, a Texas-based group that focused in media centralization for home use, so it's likely that Yahoo will make this a permanent addition to their services. “Go for TV” also works in conjunction with other Yahoo software such as Launchcast and Flickr, which means likely the media center software will let you record or import video then quickly share them with others. Yahoo enters the “free” group with other suites such as MythTV and Freevo, and this will likely let them get a big foot into the door.
