ATI will release X1900 GT sooner than expected

Good news for card lovers, ATI is going to release the X1900GT quite earlier then initially expected, with a launch date only six days from now. Initially, it's going to be $379.99, and that's for a mere 256MB, although the GPU itself is fairly beefy and as it begins to scale up may prove to quite the card. Prices are a bit high, it seems, for a card of this level, so it will have to impress a lot of people in order to justify that cost. This card also uses the unpopular double-slot cooling mount, which is cumbersome, so hopefully ATI will start working on a revision for this. In either case, it is nice that ATI will let it hit the market sooner.
