No big surprises here that
Apple Corps plans to
appeal the recent ruling that saw it loose out in a legal battle with Apple Computer over their use of the Apple logo in
iTunes. The court ruled that Apple Computer's use of the logo
did not violate a 1991 trademark agreement between the two companies, but of course Apple Corps disagrees.
With great respect to the trial judge, we consider he has reached the wrong conclusion,' Neil Aspinall, Apple Corps' manager, said in a statement. 'We felt that during the course of the trial we clearly demonstrated just how extensively Apple Computer had broken the agreement. We will accordingly be filing an appeal.'
