Apple releases new MacBooks

Although we all knew it was coming, Apple has finally unleashed the new MacBooks, off schedule but not by much. If you recall, they suddenly delayed the release a while back. These 13.3” devices are all being powered by Core processors as Apple continues to transition to using only Intel chips, and they vary from $1099 to $1299, fairly midrange pricing that is easy to swallow, and come with decent specs for that money. The higher end model sports a minimum of 512MB DDR2-667, 80GB HDD and a DVD burner, but that is pretty run of the mill at this stage of the game. For those wanting to stick with Apple or try them out, often a $2200+ Macbook Pro just isn't the right fit, so now we have the next gen of lower-priced MacBooks for a wider audience.
