TS Poll: Which portable device satisfies your IT needs on the go?

Nowadays mobile computing is the sector with the most growth or at least the most media attention and innovation. Recently products based on Microsoft's Origami concept were unveiled and launched into retail. The hybrid device called the UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) goes beyond the PDA while maintaining the portability and offering many of the functionality you expect from a laptop.

Along with Smartphones, PDAs, and laptops, the UMPC completes a circle of mobile devices that will satisfy most users on the go. Our new poll asks just that, which device satisfies your IT needs on the go? (pick the smallest).

Hence the reason Acer is gaining SO much market share....great performance...yet poor battery life.Fact is most mobile users I know plug their notebook in every chance they get. Rare is it indeed that one is SO mobile where 4 hours or non stop battery life is actually required.Acer (and others) have been putting out good performing notebooks yet the battery performance leads something to be desired. However, at the end of the day it isn't the battery that leads to long term effective usefullness of a notebook, it is the performance within that counts.
