MIT's sub-$100 laptop makes a public appearance

The infamous sub-hundred dollar laptop, still in development, has from the very start being light on details, and it has been made clear many times that it won't be something you can pick up in retail outlets. That aside, people are still after all the information they can find on it, and recently some images and other information was released. It looks rather like a large toy, and quite rugged, like it could take a beating. That's probably a good thing, considering it is designed for children. It has dirt shields for all the peripheral connectors, and a large plastic handle. Maybe it's exactly what this task calls for.
