Google's GBuy to be released next week?
We've heard the rumors about Google's up and coming rival to PayPal, GBuy, and many people have been eagerly awaiting it to move into an open beta. It may be almost here, with Google possibly opening the service up as early as this week. GBuy will be unique from other payment services in that it will be integrated as part of a search, so that GBuy supporting vendors would get priority. Though the details are not fully apparent, Google does have a battle ahead of them, with PayPal having a user base of more than 100 million. They will have some offerings other companies don't, such as merchant discounts and rebates based on purchases, but they apparently charge more initially than PayPal does to merchants. Those looking forward to GBuy may see it as early as this week.
