Microsoft will not delay Vista due to EU fines

How much will that 280 Million Euro fine affect Microsoft's business? Not much, apparently, or at least not Vista. Microsoft has announced that the fine recently imposed by the EU will not impact the development or release of Vista, which as we've heard is already teetering on the edge of another delay.

Darren Huston of Microsoft Japan says they are still committed to the January release, and obviously the company has more than enough capital to cover the fines should their appeals fail. From a business aspect, this is good for the investors and companies looking forward to Vista integration in the coming months.

  1. According to some readers here MS should be fined more JUST because they have more. I'm not sure what is more lame the EU or that comment.
