Intel's Merom to appear in MacBooks this year

The new Merom cores from Intel look quite promising, and it seems that Apple is already prepared to gear their systems up with CPUs. Core 2 Duo is expected to be placed into MacBooks early as September. MacBook and MacBook pro will both apparently receive the upgrade, and judging from other performance reviews we've seen the increases will probably carry over to the Mac world as well. With a release of a new MacBook just around the corner, it's wondered if the new notebooks will have any impact on sales of older notebooks with earlier Intel CPUs.
