Microsoft Zune player to sell for $230?

By

On September 20, 2006, 6:52 PM

There have been countless rumours regarding the Zune player pricing after Microsoft unveiled a bunch of information last week for the first time through official channels. What has been intriguing users since then is that no pricing or release date was included, supposedly because Microsoft was caught somewhat off-guard after Apple's iPod announcements of an improved player and price reductions.

According to Gizmodo sources, the Zune price was originally going to be $289.99, which was slightly lower than the iPod. It looks likely that the price will now be lowered to $229.99 to meet the same target of undercutting whatever Apple has to offer. Don't you love competition?
