Sharp has recently announced the first liquid crystal display that can show three different images on a one single screen. This miracle of technology works by splitting the screen light in three different directions to provide three images at different viewing angles: left, right, and center. One practical application for this type of screen could be a car display where the driver could be viewing a navigational map, while the front and back passengers could watch two different shows at the same time.
