Sony faces even more battery recalls

By Justin Mann on September 29, 2006, 11:07 AM
It just isn't ending for Sony. Yesterday, we heard more stories about IBM and Lenovo beginning to recall Sony batteries for various manufacturing defects and Sony scrambling for an answer. Today, Toshiba and Fujitsu are announcing even more recalls, and Dell has decided to expand the number of units they are recalling as well. Dell is adding an additional 100,000 units, and Toshiba is bringing their total to over 830,000.

19 of Fujitsu's models were affected, but they are not releasing specific numbers. There's no end in sight, it seems, for Sony's battery woes. For sure this will not help sales of the PSP or perhaps even the PS3.
