BitTorrent now in consumer electronics

BitTorrent announced today the start of a series of strategic alliances to incorporate their software in consumer electronics. ASUS, Planex and QNAP are among the first companies to produce devices like wireless routers, media servers and network related storage devices with this technology. The company is looking to offer an alternative to transfer, store and reproduce files without a PC.
