Cingular to release 8525 PDA with GPS

PDAs are becoming more popular, with mobile communication and mobile computing so much in demand. Cingular's 8000 series of PDA have proved to be very popular, and now they are announcing the release of their 8525 PDA. While a PDA is not all that exciting, one particularly interesting feature that made this one stand out is the inclusion of TeleNav GPS Navigator. Of course, it requires an external receiver, and a subscription, making it an expensive but easy to use navigation system coupled with everything else the PDA has. It's priced a bit higher than the similar 8125, at around $400, and will go on sale this month. With the UMTS/HSDPA functionality, if you are connected to a tower that also supports it, the device sees improved data rates with download speeds approaching 700kbps. True Internet on the go.
