Apple heads to court over ITMS lawsuit

Coming right on the heels after a similar lawsuit in Europe and truthfully no surprise to anyone, Apple is being sued due to iTunes in the U.S. Accusing Apple of abusing anti-trust laws by making it difficult if not possible for people to use iTunes content on anything but an iPod, the lawsuit attacks both the technology itself and Apple's “lack of transparency” over making this functionality clear.

On top of looking for financial reimbursement, the suit aims to force Apple's hand in changing ITMS to be more compatible with other hardware. The original suit was brought up to be dismissed, back in November, but that move was declined and now they'll be heading to court.
