AMD brings CPU price cuts

A long time in coming, AMD is bringing price cuts almost across the board on their desktop CPUs. The drops are fairly small in some cases and as high as 27% in others, bringing the dual-core X2 5200+ from $403 all the way down to $295, a nice drop indeed. Other models with reduced pricing include the 3800+, 4000+, 4200+, 4400+, 4600+, 4800+ and 5000+, along with some Sempron models. Core 2 is bringing a lot of heat on AMD, and hopefully this year they will do more about it. Their top-end FX class is still very expensive, but the Semprons and X2s are becoming quite ideal for low cost machines.
